Microsoft Gamer’s Day 2008

posted in: Game News 0

xbox-360-logoThe event was today and it was chalk full of tidbits from games published by Microsoft Games Studio. I’m going to link to this awesome NeoGAF post which summarized everything quite well. Lots of details if you want them.

However, for the incredibly lazy, I’ll break it down a bit.

There’s a lot of tidbits concerning Fable 2 which have me jumpin’. Oh, and the whimsy and colorful look of the game is also a plus. Sweet.

Too Human

Release date: August 19th, 2008

Some interesting tidbits emerged. Co-op was taken down from 4 players to just 2 players, but the most significant loss for me was the exclusion of local co-op play.

Banjo Kazooie 3: Nuts and Bolts

Release Date: Holiday 2008

Debut Trailer
Impressions from Wired

Vehicle heavy screenshots were a precursor to something non-platforming, but I had no idea how vehicle oriented it was going to be. It’s true that it’s not just about the vehicles, but I’m still not diggin’ this.

On the plus side, that Mario “vehicle” was made by a tester. Cool.

Gears of War 2

Release Date: November 2008

The new screenshots are extremely impressive, but is it 100% in-game and not bullshots? The amount of anti-aliasing is ridiculous.

Ninja Gaiden 2

Release Date: June 3, 2008

The sequel to the original” is fast approaching!

Tecmo has a history of bullshots, but I still get excited over it. Nothing has changed here.

Viva Pinata 2

Release Date: September 2008
