My oh my. Let’s get to the numbers:

Okay. Hardware wise, Nintendo dominated. Again. No surprise there, but what is surprising is how little the HD consoles sold pre-GTAIV. What were people waiting for? GTAIV specials/bundles? You’d think that the exclusive downloadable content would also shift prospective console buyers by the thousands towards the Xbox 360, but it clearly didn’t for the month of April.

Initial GTAIV sales were very impressive considering it was released on April 29th. The 360 outsold the PS3 version 1.85:1 — not 2:1 (yet?). Mario Kart Wii did expected numbers for its debut. Oh, and COD4 for Xbox 360 still lingers at 10th spot. Talk about long legs.

Let’s see what May’s numbers will bring.
