Ubisoft’s Red Steel was one of the first “core” games to feature the Wiimote and the promise of wielding a virtual sword. It wasn’t well received, but the idea was sound. Shooting and sword swinging with the Wiimote and nunchuck should have been a sure thing, however blandness and inaccurate Wiimote implementation hindered it.
With the release of the Wii MotionPlus next year, Ubisoft is hoping to take advantage of the improved Wiimote with Red Steel 2. Good luck, Ubisoft! We need more core games on the Wii.
