So sales of high definition consoles dipped below the 200K mark for both high definition consoles, but the Xbox 360 managed to irk out the PS3 for the third time this year. Next month will probably belong to the Xbox 360 thanks to the price cuts earlier and I wouldn’t be surprised if it continued to eek past the PS3 for the rest of the year. As for my predictions: they were quite off as a whole since I expected too much from August.

Software sales are not too surprising. Madden NFL 09 dominated the charts with the Xbox 360 version leading the way. Too Human debuted at #8 with 168.2K units. Not a total bomb, but it’s probably not the type of sales Microsoft and Silicon Knights were hoping for.
