windows-logoIts existence was confirmed for awhile now, but Microsoft was tight lipped about the pricing until now.

Microsoft have confirmed that the Windows 7 Family Pack will offer three Home Premium upgraded licenses for just $149.99 USD/$199.99 CAD. It will be available on October 22nd, 2009 “until supplies last”.

Using today’s exchange rate, Canadians are being charged approximately $30 CAD more for the pack. Thankfully, Amazon.com have begun shipping software to Canada at reasonable rates (depending on where you live it seems). If you’re lucky, you may be able to take advantage of the strong Canadian dollar and save.

In other news, that leaked Windows 7 Ultimate Lenovo key was blacklisted by Microsoft. Microsoft can blacklist the key now since PCs with those keys installed haven’t been distributed yet. But what will happen if an OEM key is leaked once thousands of people have said OEM keys installed? That’ll be interesting.
