[PSP] 150K
[WII] 300K

I’m pretty terrible at this hardware prediction thing nowadays. Thankfully, I’m not being paid to make them.

As expected, the PlayStation 3’s sales are up thanks to the $100 price drop. Wii numbers have also increased due to Nintendo’s minor price cut as well. However, it is the Nintendo DS which is the clear winner with over 500, 000 units.

The interesting story for this month resides with the software side of things. Halo 3: ODST was the winner for the month as previously announced. Madden 10 is still in the top 10 which should make EA happy, but the real surprise is the return of Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3 in the top 10. Did the new PS3 owners pick up the Batman with their knew PS3 Slim? Sounds reasonable.

The real test for the PS3 will be October’s NPD numbers. Will the PlayStation 3 continue its momentum or will this spike in sales be short lived? We’ll just have to wait and see!
