Shortly after the PlayStation Store’s restoration, a handle of first party titles will be available for 30 days. Each PSN account will be able to select two PS3 and two PSP titles from the following selection:
- Dead Nation
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
Every member will also get 30 days of PlayStation Plus membership while existing PS+ members will get an additional 60 days.
100 virtual items will also be made free for PlayStation Home fans.
Since I have multiple accounts, I can get each and every one of those titles. But for my main account, I’m selecting Dead Nation and LittleBigPlanet. As for the PSP, I’m going to grab LittleBigPlanet (PSP) and Killzone Liberation.
Dead Nation is the only PS3 title that I don’t own and I traded in the original LBP a long time ago. I did say I’d get it if it was a digital download though and here we are.
The only reason why I’m looking forward to the 30 days of PlayStation Plus is the Cloud saving feature and its ability to grab and store protected saves. I can finally move Demon’s Souls save off my 60GB PS3.
And that’s about it. I have no interest in PlayStation Home or the other stuff they’re offering.
Overall, it’s a paltry offering for long time PlayStation fans like me.
