Happy New Year. The year of the snake is upon us and I celebrate it by going back on on what I said last week. I went ahead and bought a new video card.
I ordered an XFX Radeon HD 7850 1GB video card for $139.99 after MIR. It’s well under my $200 after taxes limit and it doubles my Radeon HD 5770’s performance. What pushed me over the edge was the price. It was really cheap and it comes with Bioshock: Infinite and Tomb Raider — two games that I wanted to play on release. Also this piece of news seems to point towards a delay for the next generation of GPUs for both AMD and NVIDIA. I
With that out of the way I’ll stop pining over the idea of a new video card get back to playing games like Rayman: Origins on my PlayStation 3. Don’t worry about my GPU though, I suspect it will see a lot of battlemech action.
