I wasn’t drawn to the 2009 release of Wolfenstein; it didn’t remind me enough of Return to Castle Wolfenstein which is my favorite Wolfenstein game.
Today Bethesda announced there was another Wolfenstein game on the way for Q4 2013. Wolfenstein: The New Order will debut on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and next generation consoles. It will be developed by MachineGames which was founded by some of the folks who left Starbreeze.
Unlike Warren Specter, I am looking forward to what this new Wolfenstein has to say. I didn’t dream about shooting Nazi manufactured robots when I was a young lad and it’s not everyday that we get a sci-fi shooter. Who knows? Maybe my interest will evaporate by the time Q4 2013 rolls in.
