E3 2014 started with a huge deal for me. If all goes well, I’m getting an Xbox One for $279 ($110 off). Actually two.
I was planning to pick up an Xbox One in 2015 but those plans were accelerated just a few hours before Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference. And with a possible early arrival of the Xbox One, I needed some games!
Without further ado, here are some of the games that I will likely pick up.

The Microsoft press conference was by far the most enlightening. Microsoft had a strong lineup of known and unknown titles. I just wished they didn’t end with that Crackdown trailer. As for Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, I came away with one game each. Electronic Arts had too many “conceptual prototype” videos and Ubisoft had too many CG trailers.
In just a few minutes, it will be Sony’s time to shine. I hope they bring some genuine surprises like Rainbow Six: Siege. If they don’t have any surprises, I’ll be happy with just an impressive demo or two of established franchises. Uncharted 4 anyone?
