The more Bloodborne I see, the more glad I am that I am ignoring Dark Souls II — I see it as the Batman: Arkham Origins of the “Souls” series. Bloodborne appears to be a noticeable departure from the Souls game that preceded it. I’m loving the focus on offence and expanded movement and dodging options.
The Witcher 3 looks to have a bit of everything. Influences from Skyrim, humanoid monstrosities that wouldn’t look out of place in a Souls game and even a talking plant a la Halo’s Gravemind can be seen in that 35 minute clip.
Bloodborne doesn’t have a hard date but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will make its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 24th, 2015.
