Checkpoint: Final Week of Summer 2016 Edition

It’s been quite the summer this year. Reviewed a few games from Sega/Atlus. Played several fantastic games like Doom and Overwatch. I got fitter with the help of the Garmin Vivosmart HR. And I’m sure I’ve spent more time in the sun this season than the last three years combined.

Despite there only being a week left, I still have Deus Ex: Mankind Divided which I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time.

September sees the introduction of PlayStation 4 Neo, the Tokyo Game Show and the launch of Dragon Quest VII on Nintendo 3DS.

Unless the Neo is stupidly expensive, I’m picking one up. Despite the fact that I built most a PC, I’m finding myself on the PlayStation 4 more than ever playing Overwatch. I don’t see that changing in the near future either.

I don’t know why I’m looking forward to the Tokyo Game Show but with a quiet Gamescom, I’m hoping for something exciting from the East.

I’ve never played Dragon Quest VII but my love for XI was enough to convince me to give the remake of VII a shot.

As I wait for UPS to deliver Deus Ex, I’ve been tackling the Platinum Trophy for Doom. It’s surprisingly forgiving even without circumventing the relatively tough A Toe into Madness trophy.
