I play an hour or so of COD4 and then return to find some “leaked details” about Street Fighter IV. Truly a mixed bag here. Below you will find the translated quoted text with some of my comments in bold.
Look at this. It is a screenshot (From 1UP)of Street Fighter IV, in-engine. I was puzzled at first, but after reading some of the associated info, I am cautiously optimistic. 3-D visuals and a strictly 2-D fighting engine? Sounds good so far. I just need to see this game animate in the form of a combo video of some sort.
If Street Fighter IV is too much for you to handle, how about some of the changes for Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo HD Remix’ Balance Mode? A couple of days ago, David Sirlin updated the blog over at Capcom Unity concerning the changes they are making to Ken Masters. His Hurricane Kicks and Dragon Punches will be improved; very nice.
No release dates have been pegged for either Street Fighters as of yet.
The XBOX 360 Fall 2007 Dashboard update was unleashed upon the world today and it is probably the best update ever for Microsoft’s box. I was very impressed with the changes made. Performing the update also reminded me how easy and relatively painless it is to update the console compared to a System Update on the PLAYSTATION 3. I guess if there is anyone who should be good at patching, it would be Microsoft.
Here were some of the key changes which I appreciated:
– Improved Dashboard performance
– Added DivX/Xvid support.
– Improved organization layout of most blades
– Friends of Friends
Full change log can be found here.
Dear Assassin’s Creed,
Your reviews have been generally good by the likes of MetaCritic and GameRankings, but those you have disappointed have been rather vocal about your lackluster performance and premature arrival. You have your defenders whom I respect and thanks to the likes them, I have given you a chance and picked you up along with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for $89.99 from BestBuy. I wanted to see for myself if you lived up to the hype and the potential you instilled a few years back. Despite my gut feeling after the disappointing E3 2007 demonstration, I still held a glimmer of hope for you. Well, the game was released and I took the time to finish it and to be honest my impression of you has not changed; I still see potential in you despite your numerous flaws.
