It’s the second anniversary of GameDealsCanada! What better way to celebrate this occasion than with a brand new logo?

First of all, thanks for everyone who participated in the logo contest! There are lots of talented people out there and I thank you all for taking the time to design and submit a logo.

However, from the pool there could only be one winner and this is it:

Thanks to Darren Calvert for his awesome submission! Mr. Calvert’s logo caught my attention immediately and I knew right away it was the successor I was looking for. He managed to capture the spirit of those Capcom Servbots and incorporate a Canadian flavor without being tacky. It also reminded me of logos from toy company’s of the past. I love it!

For more samples of Darren’s work, you can visit his website here. There you can find a drawing of a T-rex wearing a Santa hat and Christmas lights. I kinda wish that was the logo after seeing it again. It’s bad ass.
