Dell Adamo & Mini 10 Unveiled

posted in: Technology News | 0

The Adamo, Dell’s answer to the MacBook Air, was finally unveiled today at CES 2009. Engadget took some nice photos and a video of the slim black machine, but they were not allowed to play around with it. No details on release dates or pricing either.

While that’s all nice and dandy, I am not envious.  In fact, the newly announced Dell Mini 10 is more envy worthy to me. I’m am jealous of the Mini 10’s multitouch  support, “edge-to-edge” 720p screen, “edge-to-edge” keyboard, and built-in TV tuner. According to Dell, it’ll be running on the same Atom Z530 processor that my Mini 9 is running on. No word on pricing, but I doubt it’ll be close to the price range of my Mini 9.

I guess I can find solace in that.

Dell Adamo – Mac Book Air Rival Coming Soon

I absolutely adore my Dell Mini 9. It’s a great little device to do web browsing and light word processing with. Those of you who aren’t fans of its ridiculously small size can inch up towards the Dell Mini 12. If that doesn’t float your boat, perhaps the new Dell Adamo will do — it will rival the Mac Book Air — so they say.

Very little details have been uncovered on Dell’s upcoming laptop. From what I’m reading, it will be marketed as the “world’s thinnest laptop“, have a Blu-ray and DisplayPort options and was confirmed to exist by Dell itself.

Hopefully it will be priced reasonably, unlike the last Mac Book Air rival.
