Update: Added some Xbox Live! related items

Instead of breaking down the Microsoft E3 2009 press conference and include both multiplatform and exclusive content, I’m going to focus on the stuff you can find “exclusively on Xbox 360” — or as exclusive to the Xbox 360 as it can get.

A shit-ton of Microsoft announcements await you below. For everything else, check here.

Fable II To Be Digitally Distributed?

posted in: Game News 4

EA have already put their Burnout Paradise on PSN and now it looks like Microsoft is going to put Fable II on the digital distribution block. GameIndustry.biz reported that Peter Molyneux hinted to the fact that “could be made available as a full digital release on Xbox 360.”

It’s a step in the right direction and will ultimately cut that pesky middleman out. I’m sure the game publishers would like nothing more than to get rid of the need for physical copies and that “painful” used games market. And with this recession, that used games “problem” will only get worse.

I’m sure it sucks to see a copy of your game being sold to another person for $50 while your new copy sits on store shelves.

Fable II Review

Lionhead’s roleplaying game, Fable, was said to have under delivered — “too many promises and not enough results” they said. When Fable II was announced, I kept tabs on the sequel’s development, but I remained distant in order to preserve realistic expectations. From the get go, it looked like Fable II was everything Fable should have been, but would the magic last until the very end? Almost.

Fable 2 Bugs Round Up. Patch Coming

posted in: Game News 0

I just started playing Fable 2 and so far I haven’t encountered any of these game ruining bugs. However, it’s a good idea to keep an eye out for them until Lionhead Studios push out a patch.

So without further here’s the bug round up:

  • Monk’s Quest” bug where you won’t be able to resume the game if you leave the region before finishing the conversation with the Abbot of the Temple of Light in Oakfield.
  • Playing a co-op game with an existing and brand new character could wipe all experience and gold from the existing character.
  • Freezes which may or may not be attributed to the “Co-op patch”.

Not too bad. Most of them don’t even affect me since I tend to listen to dialog and don’t play Xbox 360 games online.
