Ratchet & Clank movie will be a reality in 2015

Ever since Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction (my first R&C game), I wondered why Insomniac Games & Sony didn’t pull the trigger on a Ratchet & Clank movie. Electronic Arts even went down the path of bringing Dead Space to DVD and they don’t have an animation studio under their belt.

If they didn’t mention that was a movie, it could have been a teaser for a new game.

God of War: Ascension Announced

posted in: Game News 0

It started with an unintentional leak by Amazon.com who prematurely put up the God of War: Ascension product page along with the teaser (below) and “unofficial” box art. I guess you can’t expect online retailers to honor product announcements.

With the cat out of the bag, Sony had no choice but to come out and show the goods themselves.

It’s a teaser alright.

It will be a prequel of some kind. I have no idea where it fits but I do know we have just as many prequels as main line games at this point. Do we even consider it a main line game or relegate it to the same company as God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta?

I enjoyed God of War III very much and I’m convinced Sony Santa Monica will be able to conjure up something special now that they’ve completed the technological heavy lifting with their first title on the PlayStation 3 — now they can focus on the gameplay.
