Alright. After many weeks of pondering and weighing of options, I decided to pick up one of these IDE to SATA converters. Cost me $19.99 before tax. Smooth sailing after this, right?
Nope.
I thought I could install Windows Home Server Vail 2 on it, but it looks like I can’t boot up at all. I don’t know if it’s either the Fedora 12 install I did for Amahi or the adapter’s fault, but I’m still struggling to install the damn operating system.
Now I’m throwing Windows 7 onto a USB key so I can boot up and play with the Master Boot Record.
More updates as the project continues.
