Long weekend time. It’s the time for catching up on games, work on projects and veg out with some Netflix.
I wrapped up Twin Peaks yesterday. It was a fun and weird show. I’ve never seen a show that’s so unabashedly weird and original before. There are talks about a reboot coming but I don’t know how they could get away with something so funky on primetime television. Thankfully Netflix is in the mood for original programming.
I watched the pilot episode of Archer and will continue to watch. I’m not a big fan of the animation but it is serviceable. There’s quite a number of recognizable voice actors in this show. Bob from Bob’s Burger rings in loud and clear with Archer.
I’m nearing the end of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Like with most Japanese role playing games, when in doubt: grind levels. And that’s what I’ve been doing in order to complete Chapter 16. I want to wrap up Fire Emblem in order to start Animal Crossing: New Leaf so I can find out what the deal is with Tom Nook.
As for Persona 4: Arena, I’m impressed with how well this game stands up as a sequel to Persona 4. The pace could be a bit faster though.
As for home projects? I’m working my brother’s new PC. Not all the parts are here yet but I have most of it assembled. I also took some pictures along the way which I shall post later.
I also disassembled my brother’s Macbook (late 2008). It was simple enough but that damn keyboard ribbon caused us quite a bit of grief since it was not actually connected despite appearances.
