We’re into the third week of June which means the Summer Solstice is just around the corner. Summer gaming usually consists of one epic game which spans over a matter of weeks. Last summer was spent with Atlus’ Persona 3: FES. This summer’s possibilities will most likely include another Atlus RPG and a few more.

Backlog Clearing

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon
Developer: Atlus
Genre: JRPG
Platform: PS2

This summer will be time to take out, what could possibly be, last “new” PS2 game I will ever play. I hope Atlus doesn’t disappoint with my first Devil Summonor game

Phoenix Wright Trilogy + Apollo Justice
Developer: Capcom
Genre: Adventure
Platform: NDS

I started the first of these “graphic novels” and I can easily see myself spending hours dissecting testimonies and investigating crime scenes. It’s really, really good. I can’t believe I’ve been putting them off for this long

Possible Revisits

  • Uncharted: Drakes Fortune – With a sequel coming this Fall and a Trophy patch to download, this summer will be a good time to revisit El Dorado.
  • God of War I, II & Chains of Olympus – There’s a bit of time between now and the release of the third installment, but it wouldn’t hurt to revisit Hades.

That’s all for now. I’ll save the “Summer 2009” new releases for next week.

I’m just over the halfway point with inFamous. It’s a great open world game and the first to strike the perfect balance between tech and gameplay. Even though there are side mission repeats, Sucker Punch does something (I don’t know what) to mix it up a bit. It’s well worth the $59.99 price tag I paid and you’ll be a fool for not picking it up for $29.99 at BestBuy on the 31st.

P.S – I may make inFamous my “Platinum Trophy” run game this summer.
